Solubilization Technology

Zymes LLC has launched Ubisol-Aqua, a technology that solubilizes fish oil and omega 3 fatty acids (DHA/EPA/ALA). Ubisol-Aqua provides a platform for solubilizing omega 3 fatty acids and other water-insoluble lipophilic compounds for foods, beverages, nutritional supplements, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. The technology, available for licensing, provides improved solubility, enhanced bioavailability and particle size reduction to the nanometer level. To achieve solubilization, Ubisol-Aqua uses nanotechnology and complexation to reformulate and improve solubility of drugs, nutrient and cosmetic ingredients that are water-insoluble and therefore difficult for the human body to absorb. Using this combined approach, Zymes delivers new water-soluble omega 3 fatty acids with an average particle size of 34 nanometers.
